Thank you all so much for taking the time to read the blog over the past few weeks. I hope you’ve found it interesting, informative, or at the very least a more imaginative form of procrastination.
As you leave, please take a few moments to ‘sign’ the guestbook below by adding a comment.

Always like to be the FIRST in any guestbook!
Good to have been able to keep in touch with your experiences whilst away. We suspect that Kisiizi will be a place you make a visit to again at some point in the future – it’s clearly been a very enlightening experience and one that has been hugely beneficial to you, and we trust also to the patients you were privileged to meet.
Well done for a fantastic blog that kept us all informed and entertained.
Great to have you home again….

Hi David,
Have been dipping in and out of your blog over the last few weeks (when I could get my netbook to work in India!)and I just wanted to to congratulate you on such a well put together and personal account of your elective experience, well done! Well done to for surviving the dreaded tummy upset, My own body has protested more since I have been back then when I was in the deepest, darkest dankest (not sure if that is a legitimate word!)parts of calcutta!
Well done again, I am sure you have learnt loads and grown in many other ways too!
Regards
Trevor
Well done, David. We have loved keeping up with you and realize the experience at Kissizi has been ‘life changing’ for you. We always knew you would make a fine doctor and this trip has proved it so with all your inter-acting with the patients and compassion for them.
See you soon. Love from us both. Beryl & Martin
Dear David, your experience will be more formative than you realise, your blog has been informative, and the teddy will be more helpful to the children than some of the medicines! we have missed you at BH, and will be thrilled to see you again and hear more of Kisizi, lots of love Mary
Dear David
Thank you so much for taking the time to write in such detail about your amazing experiences in Uganda. You have given us so much insight into the hospital, the people and the surrounding area. Have you thought about publishing this as a book? It makes far more interesting reading than many of the books around! So pleased to hear that you’re back safely and really looking forward to hearing your talk on Sunday evening. Just enjoy being back with the family before you set off for another busy session at Brighton.
Love from Marion and Ian xx
Thank you David for a wonderful insight into kisiizi, the hospital and people you worked with. The photos were fab, the teddy brilliant and the blog excellent. It beat x factor hands down. Thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure with us and all the best with your doctoring! Luv Theresa
It has been a real privilege to share your trip to Uganda. You have a gift of including those of us who don’t know you (only as a name in church) feel part of your experiences. I can understand that your life has been changed and I’m sure you will be an even better doctor because of all that you have seen and learnt. May the memories stay with you forever. God bless you. Tricia Divers.
Its been really nice reading your blog David – surprised that you managed to keep it SO interesting throughout your time in Uganda. Not surprised that taking a rucksac would have made the travelling easier….but then what does your Mother know!! Lovely to have you home again!
